All-on-6 Implants in Turkey: 2026 prices, why two extra implants matter, and when it is worth the difference

All-on-6 replaces a full arch of teeth with a fixed bridge carried on six implants rather than four. At Velsa an arch costs £4,200–£6,200 all-inclusive. The two extra implants spread the chewing load and leave real margin if one ever fails — which matters most in the upper jaw.

What is All-on-6?

All-on-6 replaces an entire arch with a single fixed bridge supported by six implants — typically four placed vertically and two angled at the back, spreading the load across more anchor points than All-on-4.

The principle is identical to All-on-4: a rigid bridge splinted across multiple implants shares load, which is why a fixed temporary can be attached on the day of surgery. The difference is purely how many anchor points carry that load, and how far back the bridge is supported.

Six implants distribute chewing force over a wider span, which reduces stress on each individual implant and on the bridge itself. It also means the bridge is supported further back, so there is less unsupported overhang at the rear — the cantilever, which is where full-arch bridges tend to fracture.

All-on-6 against All-on-4

The practical differences
Implants per arch 6 4
Load per implant Lower Higher
Rear cantilever Shorter Longer
If one implant fails Bridge often salvageable Usually destabilises the bridge
Bone required More Less
Price per arch £4,200–£6,200 £3,200–£4,800

If you are weighing the two, read our All-on-4 page alongside this one. The honest position is that neither is universally better — it depends on your bone, your bite and your budget.

How much does All-on-6 cost in Turkey?

A Velsa All-on-6 arch costs £4,200–£6,200 all-inclusive across both trips. The same treatment in the UK is typically £13,000–£20,000 per arch.

Velsa all-inclusive full-arch pricing, 2026
All-on-6, one arch £4,200–£5,200 Acrylic on titanium bar 6 + 5
All-on-6, one arch, zirconia £5,200–£6,200 Monolithic zirconia 6 + 5
All-on-6, both arches £7,800–£9,800 Acrylic on titanium bar 7 + 5
All-on-6, both arches, zirconia £9,800–£11,800 Monolithic zirconia 7 + 5
All-on-4, one arch £3,200–£4,800 Either material 6 + 5

What the package includes

  • Full examination, panoramic X-ray and 3D CBCT scan
  • Any extractions needed on the day
  • Six implants and multi-unit abutments
  • A fixed temporary bridge the same day
  • The permanent bridge at the second trip
  • Five nights in a four-star hotel on the first trip, four on the second
  • All airport, hotel and clinic transfers
  • A personal English-speaking coordinator
  • Your implant passport with brand and batch numbers
  • Five-year guarantee on the bridge, manufacturer guarantee on the implants

Is the extra £1,000 worth it?

For an upper arch, usually yes. For a lower arch with dense bone, All-on-4 performs well and the difference is harder to justify. The question worth asking your implantologist is not "which is better" but "which would you place in my jaw, having seen my scan" — and then asking why.

Bars span the usual range in each market, not a single quoted figure. Non-Turkish figures are indicative market ranges rather than quotes from named providers.

US and UK figures are typically the surgeon and facility only. Flights, accommodation, transfers and follow-up are extra in those markets and included in the Velsa price, which is the comparison that actually matters.

Your own price comes from a written quote after a clinician has reviewed your case. Nothing on this chart is a quote.

Why do patients from the UK, US and Europe choose Turkey?

Patients choose Turkey for lower all-inclusive prices, experienced cosmetic dentists working with their own laboratories, modern private clinics, short waiting times and easy direct flights from most European and many US cities.

Turkey has become one of the world's leading medical travel destinations. According to Turkish industry figures reported in July 2026, the country welcomed around 1.4 million health tourists in 2025, generating over $3 billion in revenue. Cosmetic and implant dentistry is one of the most requested categories.

  • Value: lower operating and living costs mean you pay less for the same standard of treatment.
  • Experience: leading dental clinics in Istanbul complete cosmetic and implant cases every week.
  • Speed: consultations can be arranged online within days, and treatment dates are flexible.
  • Access: most UK and European airports have direct flights of around 3–4 hours.
  • Recovery comfort: you recover in a hotel with a coordinator on hand, rather than managing alone at home.

Every Velsa quote names the dentist, the clinic and the laboratory before you pay, so you can check all three yourself.

Am I a good candidate for All-on-6?

All-on-6 suits patients who need a full arch replaced and have enough bone to take six implants — particularly in the upper jaw, or if you have a heavy bite.

All-on-6 is usually suitable if

  • You are missing all or nearly all the teeth in an arch.
  • You are treating the upper jaw, where softer bone benefits from more anchor points.
  • You have a strong bite, grind, or are younger and will be using the bridge for decades.
  • Your CBCT scan shows enough bone volume for six implants.
  • You are a non-smoker, or can stop for four weeks either side of surgery.
  • You can commit to two trips and to cleaning under the bridge daily.

All-on-4 or something else may suit you better

  • You have limited bone: four angled implants need less of it, and avoid grafting.
  • Budget is the deciding factor and your lower jaw has dense bone.
  • You are missing only a few teeth: individual dental implants will cost less.
  • You have untreated gum disease, which must be stable first.
  • You are a heavy smoker, where full-arch failure is hard to recover from.
  • You take bisphosphonates, which needs specialist assessment before jaw surgery.

Our self-check below gives you a starting answer, and a Velsa implantologist reviews your panoramic X-ray free of charge before you commit to anything.

Your All-on-6 journey in Turkey, step by step

Two trips: five nights for surgery and the temporary bridge, four for the permanent one, with four to six months between.

  1. 1Before you travel: you send a recent panoramic X-ray. An implantologist assesses bone volume, confirms whether six implants are achievable, and you receive a written fixed quote.
  2. 2Trip one, day 1 — arrival and assessment: examination, new X-rays and a 3D CBCT scan. Impressions are taken so the laboratory can prepare the temporary bridge.
  3. 3Trip one, day 2 — surgery: remaining teeth removed, bone ridge shaped, six implants placed under local anaesthetic with sedation if you want it. Two and a half to three and a half hours per arch.
  4. 4Trip one, day 3 — the temporary bridge: a fixed acrylic bridge is attached. You leave with teeth and eat soft food on them that evening.
  5. 5Trip one, days 4–5 — review and adjustment: swelling peaks then settles; the bite is refined.
  6. 6Trip one, day 6 — fly home with antibiotics, aftercare instructions and your implant passport.
  7. 7At home, months 4–6 — integration: bone bonds to the implants and the gums settle. You wear the temporary throughout, with monthly coordinator check-ins.
  8. 8Trip two, day 1 — arrival: X-rays confirm all six implants have integrated.
  9. 9Trip two, days 2–3 — impressions and try-in: precise impressions, then the framework and tooth set-up are tried in for you to approve shape and shade.
  10. 10Trip two, day 4 — final fitting: the permanent bridge is screwed into place and the bite refined.
  11. 11Trip two, day 5 — final check and fly home with your guarantee documents and cleaning kit.

What you can check before you pay

The hospital

Accreditation
JCI-accredited, with the certificate number given to you in writing before any deposit.
Licence
Turkish Ministry of Health licence, named and verifiable independently rather than described in general terms.
Intensive care
On site, in the same building, for every procedure under general anaesthetic. Not "available nearby".
Anaesthesia
A consultant anaesthetist present throughout the operation — not supervising several theatres from elsewhere.
Nursing
24-hour nursing, with an English-speaking nurse on each shift and an interpreter for clinical conversations.

Photos are not proof

Photographs show you the rooms; they do not tell you whether there is an intensive care unit behind them. The facility is named to you in writing before you pay, with its licence and accreditation numbers, so you can verify it as well as see it.

If you want to see the building in person, ask — we can usually arrange a visit before you decide, and a provider unwilling to let you look around is telling you something.

How we verify a facility

How is All-on-6 performed?

Two and a half to three and a half hours per arch under local anaesthetic, with sedation available. Extractions, implants and the temporary bridge all happen in one sitting.

  1. 1CBCT planning: a 3D scan maps bone volume, the nerve canal in the lower jaw and the sinus in the upper. Six implant positions are planned on the scan before surgery.
  2. 2Anaesthetic: local anaesthetic, with intravenous sedation if chosen.
  3. 3Extractions: any remaining teeth in the arch are removed.
  4. 4Shaping the ridge: the bone ridge is levelled so the bridge seats properly and the join is hidden when you smile.
  5. 5Placing the anterior implants: four implants are placed vertically across the front and mid-arch, where bone is densest.
  6. 6Placing the posterior implants: two more are placed further back, angled where the sinus or nerve requires it, extending support toward the molar region.
  7. 7Multi-unit abutments: angled connectors are fitted so all six present a parallel platform for the bridge.
  8. 8The temporary bridge: the pre-prepared acrylic bridge is adjusted, attached and the bite checked before you leave.

The surgical sequence is the same as All-on-4; the difference is the number of osteotomies prepared and the resulting load distribution. That is also why it takes a little longer and needs a little more bone.

All-on-6 recovery timeline

Expect marked swelling for about a week, soft food for six to eight weeks, and four to six months on the temporary bridge before the permanent one is fitted.

  • Days 1–3: swelling and bruising peak around day two and can be pronounced. Ice, prescribed painkillers and antibiotics.
  • Days 3–7: swelling subsides. Soft food on the temporary bridge. Rinse gently; no straws.
  • Weeks 2–4: most patients feel normal and are back at work. Still soft food only.
  • Weeks 6–8: diet can broaden, but nothing hard or crusty on the acrylic temporary.
  • Months 4–6: integration completes and the gum line settles into its final position — which is exactly why the permanent bridge is made now and not sooner.
  • After the permanent bridge: full function, and with six implants most patients report noticeably more confidence biting at the back.

Is All-on-6 in Turkey safe?

All-on-6 carries the same risk profile as All-on-4, with one meaningful advantage: losing a single implant is far less likely to cost you the whole bridge.

Velsa works with licensed dental clinics in Istanbul whose implantologists are registered with the Turkish Ministry of Health, with in-house CBCT scanning and their own laboratory. You are given your dentist's name and registration number before you pay anything.

Risks you should know about

  • Implant failure: under 5% per implant, but with six the bridge can often be modified rather than remade.
  • Infection: peri-implantitis around one or more implants, the leading cause of late failure.
  • Nerve injury: numbness of the lip and chin in the lower jaw. Rare with proper CBCT planning.
  • Sinus perforation: in the upper jaw, which implant angulation is partly designed to avoid.
  • Bridge fracture: less likely than All-on-4 because the rear cantilever is shorter, but still possible in acrylic.
  • Screw loosening: usually straightforward to retighten with the right components.
  • Speech changes: a full-arch bridge alters tongue space; most patients adapt within weeks.
  • Food trapping: daily cleaning under the bridge is not optional.

Keep your implant passport and show it to any dentist who treats you. Full-arch work needs the correct system-specific components to service.

Can All-on-6 be combined with other treatment?

Extractions are almost always included, many patients treat both arches together, and a sinus lift is sometimes needed in the upper jaw to make six implants possible.

The main sequencing question with All-on-6 is bone. Where the upper jaw has insufficient height for the posterior implants, a sinus lift may be done at the same appointment or as a separate stage months beforehand.

Commonly combined with

  • Extractions: nearly always, in the same sitting.
  • Sinus lift: in the upper back jaw where bone height is limited. See bone graft and sinus lift.
  • The opposing arch: treating both at once adds one night, avoids a second surgical recovery and lets the bite be designed as a whole.
  • Gum treatment: where periodontal disease caused the tooth loss.
  • Veneers or crowns on opposing natural teeth: so shade matches across the whole smile.

If your scan shows there is not enough bone for six implants even with grafting, All-on-4 with angled implants is the usual fallback — and it is a good one, not a consolation prize.

How to prepare for All-on-6

Send a panoramic X-ray before booking, stop smoking, plan both trips, and prepare for six to eight weeks of soft food.

  • Panoramic X-ray: send one before paying a deposit. Bone volume determines whether six implants are possible at all.
  • Smoking: stop at least four weeks before and after. Full-arch failure is hard to recover from.
  • Medication: declare blood thinners and especially bisphosphonates, which need specialist assessment before jaw surgery.
  • Plan both trips: book the second provisionally when you book the first, four to six months later.
  • Soft food: plan six to eight weeks of it, and shop before you fly home.
  • Time off: two weeks is comfortable after the first trip; the second needs almost none.

All-on-6 results and how long they last

Implant survival at ten years is above 95% in published studies, and the bridge itself is the part that wears — acrylic typically around ten years, zirconia considerably longer.

The functional result is the headline: fixed teeth that do not move, no palate coverage, and the return of foods most denture wearers abandon. With six implants the bridge is supported further back, so biting on the molars feels more secure than with four — the difference patients most often describe after switching.

Longevity comes down to cleaning. There is a deliberate gap between bridge and gum that must be cleaned under daily with a water flosser or superfloss, plus a hygienist twice a year familiar with full-arch work. Patients who maintain it keep their bridges for decades. As consented cases are added, our dental before and after gallery shows cases at both stages.

FAQ

All-on-6 in Turkey: frequently asked questions

At Velsa, £4,200–£6,200 per arch all-inclusive across both trips, or £7,800–£11,800 for both arches. That covers extractions, six implants, the temporary bridge, the permanent bridge, five hotel nights on the first trip and four on the second and all transfers. UK pricing is typically £13,000–£20,000 per arch.

It distributes load across more implants, supports the bridge further back and leaves more margin if one implant fails. But it needs more bone and costs more. For an upper jaw it is usually the better choice; for a lower jaw with dense bone, All-on-4 performs very well.

Upper bone is softer and less dense than lower, so each implant achieves less initial grip, and the upper arch is longer. Spreading load across six anchor points compensates for both.

Yes — a fixed temporary acrylic bridge screwed to the implants, not a denture. The permanent bridge is made four to six months later once the implants have integrated and the gums have settled.

With six implants the bridge can often be modified to work on the remaining five, or a replacement implant placed without remaking everything. This is the main practical advantage over All-on-4.

Possibly, particularly in the upper jaw where a sinus lift may be needed to create height for the posterior implants. Your CBCT scan shows exactly what is required, which is why we ask for an X-ray before quoting.

Under the bridge, daily, with a water flosser or superfloss, plus normal brushing. Plus a hygienist every six months who is familiar with full-arch work. This is the single biggest determinant of how long it lasts.

Acrylic on a titanium bar is lighter, cheaper and easier to repair, but wears and discolours and typically needs replacing at around ten years. Monolithic zirconia is far more durable and does not stain, but is heavier and harder to repair. For most patients the zirconia upgrade is worth it.

Temporarily. A full-arch bridge changes the space your tongue works in, and most patients notice a slight lisp for one to three weeks. Reading aloud accelerates the adaptation.

Yes. It adds one night to the first trip, avoids a second surgical recovery and lets the bite be designed as a whole. Recovery is more demanding — expect a fortnight before you feel yourself.

The surgery is under local anaesthetic with sedation available, so you should feel pressure rather than pain. Afterwards expect marked swelling for about a week, with the first three days the hardest.

Four to six months from first surgery to permanent bridge, across two trips of five and four nights. The waiting is bone integration and it cannot be shortened.
